Information On Pfizer's Covid-19 Vaccine
A new Covid-19 vaccine named BNT162b2 jointly developed by Pfizer and BioNTech has been found 90 effective in preventing Covid-19 infection and its Phase-3 trial is going on.
Its Phase-3 trail had began in late july with 43538 participants and 90% of those got second dose of the vaccine. The Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine uses messenger RNA (mRNA) technology which relies on synthetic genes that can be generated and manufactured in weeks, and produced at scale more rapidly than conventional vaccine.
mRNA vaccines are synthetically developed and this vaccines don’t need the virus to be cultivated and replicated, just the code for the most crucial part that the body’s immune system is to target. This types of vaccines can be manufactured largely in bioreactors.

This mRNA-based vaccine could help preventing Covid-19 in the majority of people who will receive it. As safety and efficacy are the major concern about this vaccine, government cannot apply FDA Emergency Use Authorization which will be considered after getting accurate efficacy of the vaccine.
The genetic materials it has been made from need to be stored at temperatures of minus 70 degrees Celsius (-94F) or below. This one poses a great challenge for storing this vaccine in the countries in Asia because countries like Africa and Latin America have very less facility to store this kinds of vaccine in the future.
According to World Health Organization, about 70% of people must be inoculated to end the pandemic, and Asia alone is home to more than 4.6 billion - or three-fifths of the global population.
