On september 23, 2018, our honourable PM Mr. Narendra Modi initiated a scheme named Aysman Bharat-National Health Protection Scheme in his independence day speech 2018. This scheme provides health care service for free to 8.03 crore rural families and 2.33 crore urban families. Every beneficiary gets upto 5 lakhs rupees from this scheme and every NHPS enabled hospital has been charged for giving this facility to the registered people. In this scheme, packages system is available for choosing the specific treatment such packages are knee replacement, heart surgery, kidney dialysis etc.
This facility is for those who have hold below poverty line card, such persons require to register their name in the nearest NHPS enabled offices. New member of the family could also be included further. Renewal of the card has done yearly basis. Recently, private hospitals have also been given responsibility for providing this facility.
