Hunter's Moon is a natural phenomenon. It happens when sunlight falls on the ice crystals in the atmosphere.
That time, the sun reflects through the ice crystals and gives an illusion like another sun. Hunter's moon is also known as blood moon and it happens in the month of October and sometime when all these happen together in the sky, it seems to be like there are three sun in the sky. this phenomenon is called the Anthelion Phenomenon. It is mostly visible on US-Canada Border.
When do we call our Moon as a Blood Moon?
When the moon is completely covered by Earth's shadow, then only few portion of sunlight are able to reach to the moon and that time, the moon looks like a blood. That is why, we call it Blood Moon and it is also called Hunter's Moon.
