Smokes have higher level of ACE2 (Angiotnsin Converting Enzyme 2) that causes inflammation and also secretory cells making them prone to to infections.
Ace2-which always attached to the outer surface of cells in Lungs which serves as the entry point of Coronavirus.
According to the College London Study, smokers are 1.45 times more likely to have severe complications compared to non-smokers or who quit smoking.
So, it is highly recommended that everyone should stay away from smoking to stay safe.
