Self-Destructing Messages Feature of Whatsapp- All You Need to Know

Facebook-owned company Whatsapp has announced a new feature as 'self-destructing' messages. This feature will allow user to send messages that will get automatically deleted after a certain time. This feature will available on Android, iOS, KaiOS and the Web. 

 

  

More Information About The New Feature Of Whatsapp:

WhatsApp disappearing messages will self-destruct after seven days.
 
To enable this new feature, just open WhatsApp chat >> Tap the contact’s name >> Tap Disappearing Messages >> If prompted, tap Continue >> Select On.
 
WhatsApp users can enable disappearing messages on a per group or contact basis.
 
The option will be available in the contact section of each contact in WhatsApp. 
 
Only group admin will be able to enable this feature in a particular group.
 
Users can on/off this feature at anytime as per their wishes.
 
If any user takes backup before a message disappears, this disappearing message will be stored in the backup and deleted after the user restores from backup.
 
Recipient users can take screenshot of the disappearing messages obviously before they disappear.
Recipient users can forward this disappearing messages.
 
Apart from messages, photos and videos will be wiped out if users enable this feature and recipient can save those photos and videos at any moment before 7 days.
 
This feature will not work on old messages and only affects new messages instead.
